Metallurgprom forecasts the steel output on the level of 1.9 million tons in October. Rolled metal and pig iron manufacture are expected at 1.8 million tons and 1.9 million tons respectively.
According to the company, both Donetsk Electrometallurgical Plant and Donetsk Iron and Steel Works are idle.
As of September 1, 25 out of 30 blast furnaces, 8 out of 9 open-hearth furnaces and 17 out of 21 converters were in operation.
For September Metallurgprom forecast 2 million tons of steel, 1.9 million tons of pig iron and 1.8 million tons of rolled metal. (Ukrainian metal)
