Uzbekistan significantly increased its gold exports from January to August. According to the National Statistics Committee, the volume of gold shipments abroad reached $8.42 billion, up by 68.9% YoY.
Gold’s share in the country’s export structure rose to 36.7% from 28.5% in January-August 2024, underscoring the continuing central role of the precious metal in Uzbekistan’s foreign trade.
Overall, Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover in the first eight months of 2025 amounted to $51.4 billion, up by 19.8%. (UzDaily)
