Zaporizhstal, according to its capital investment program, continues carrying out complex capital repairs of three groups of heating wells (4 wells in each group) in the slabs department of the hot-rolling shop.
Investments will total UAH 135 million.
“Now Zaporizhstal works at 75% of its capacities, but we carry out maintenance program fully. In particular, now a big refurbishment of heating wells is underway. The quality of metal products depends on the stable temperature regime in wells,” acting CEO of Zaporizhstal Taras Shevchenko said.
During repair, the worn-out refractories will be replaced. The overall volume of refractory bricks to be replaced exceeds 2.2 thousand tons.
Moreover, mechanical and energy equipment and around 900 tons of metal structures will be replaced. (Ukrainian metal)
