In August, Ukraine resumed exports of metal scrap to Transnistria, a Russian enclave on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
This is the first export of scrap to Transnistria since the start of the Russian full-scale invasion.
The batch of 276 tons was shipped under a contract concluded on May 8 between D-Kamet LLC (Ukraine) and Moldova Iron and Steel Works, belonging to Russian owners.
At the same time, according to export documentation, Moldova is noted as the destination country.
D-Kamet paid an export duty of EUR 10 for each ton of scrap to the state budget. (Ukrainian metal)
