In September, Ukraine exported 1.1 million tons of iron ore raw materials to the European Union, down by 9.3% MoM. In monetary terms exports decreased by 13.4%, to EUR 125.2 million.

Compared with September 2022, exports grew 2.4-fold and revenue by 88.8%.

In January-September, EU imported 10.38 million tons of iron ore from Ukraine, down by 4% YoY, valued at EUR 1.22 billion, down by 19%.

The largest importers were the Czech Republic – 3.24 million tons, down by 2.3%, Poland – 2.51 million tons, down by 16.6%, Slovakia – 3.78 million tons, up by 16%, and Hungary – 218.45 thousand tons, down by 54.6%.

In September, the Czech Republic bought 380.41 thousand tons of iron ore raw materials from Ukraine (-18.5% MoM and +84.2% YoY), Poland – 341.9 thousand tons (+22.1% and +240.5%) and Slovakia – 334.5 thousand tons (-3.6% and +184.9%). No iron ore raw materials were exported to Hungary in September. (Ukrainian metal)
