The United Mining and Chemical Company, managing the Vilnohirsk Mining and Processing Works and Irshansk Mining and Processing Works, will improve its attractiveness for privatization by expanding its resource base.

Some trials are underway to return some titanium deposits and recall licenses from other companies. But redistributing deposits and obtaining licenses is a complex process.

Recently a court has taken a decision on the Selischanskoye site of a titanium deposit, which allows UMCC securing it.

The Irshansk subsidiary resource base – the Irshansk deposit – can be developed over 50 years. There is another deposit nearby, the development license for which has been recalled from another company. And UMCC could become the owner of this deposit as well. (Ukrainian metal)
