In January-April, global steel output totaled 622.74 million tons, down by 0.34% YoY.
According to Worldsteel, China remained the leader, having produced 354.39 million tons, up by 4.1%. The country’s share in global steel output is 56.9%.
Ukraine produced 1.81 million tons of steel, up by 46% YoY.
The country has gone up from the 28th to the 26th place among the 64 steel manufacturers. (Ukrainian metal)
