Metinvest will make no large-scale investments in long-term projects in Ukraine until the country secures a considerable victory in the war with Russia.

“This must not necessarily be Russia’s capitulation. But this must be a decisive moment at the end of the war, not another Minsk agreement. This must be something serious, with safety guarantees – not the Budapest Memorandum, but real guarantees of Ukraine’s security. Before this is done, no serious investments will come from external sources. This is just impossible. That is why our active investment phase will begin only when the war ends,” the group CEO Yuri Ryzhenkov has said. (Ukrainian metal)
