Metinvest has created a work group to design new Azovstal, which will be restored in Mariupol.
According to Azovstal CEO Enver Tskitishvili, the group wants, after the occupied territories are liberated, to restore the plant.
“That will be another plant,” he said.
The new Azovstal might not be in the same place as the destroyed one, but nearby.
The construction could last for 3 years, depending on the final decision.
The new enterprise will have larger product portfolio.
“We have to build a plant based on zero CO2 emission. The steel manufacture will be environmentally clean,” Tskitishvili said. (Ukrainian metal)
