In January, average wages in Ukrainian metal industry mostly grew.
Ferrous metal industry demonstrated the largest growth – by 21.1%, to 20.4 thousand UAH.
According to the Union of metal and mining workers, at by-product coke plants the average salary was 20 thousand UAH (+13.2%), at pipe companies – 13.3 thousand UAH (-7.1%), at mining enterprises – 19.2 thousand UAH (+4.2%), at non-ferrous metals enterprises – 10.8 (-15.1%) and in the metal industry as a whole – 18.04 thousand UAH (+15.1%).
