In 2020 Ukrainian metal companies, according to an updated forecast will decrease steel output by 4.1% YoY (20.848 million tons), to 20 million tons, and by 7% from the initial forecast (21.5 million tons).
For this, metal companies will receive 2.7 million tons of ferrous metals scrap, down by 10.3% YoY (3.011 million tons).
Scrap export is expected to reach 50 thousand tons, up by 22.2% YoY (40.9 thousand tons). Import will also be 50 thousand tons, up by 4.8% (47.7 thousand tons).
Scarp procurement is expected to drop by 18.2% YoY, to 2.75 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
