The government is ready to approve Novatek’s project of a floating power plant running on liquefied natural gas (LNG) as a power source for the Baimsky GOK ore-dressing plant owned by KAZ Minerals.

The copper and gold project needs a total of up to 350 megawatts of new generation, including a capacity reserve.
