Russia’s gold output rose by 19.5% YoY, to 232.16 tons in January-August, the Finance Ministry said citing the data on supplies to the refining plants.

Mined gold output rose by 10.1%, to 178.71 tons, and by-product gold output increased by 23.3%, to 12.7 tons, while gold scrap production jumped by 88.2%, to 40.75 tons.

Russia’s silver output decreased by 9.5%, to 634.84 tons in the period. Primary silver production fell by 3.6%, to 307.16 tons, while by-product silver output increased by 4.4%, to 221.07 tons, but production of silver scrap dropped by 37.6%, to 106.61 tons. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
