By 2030 steel consumption in construction industry could grow to 39 million tons, up by 30% from 2018.
According to Severstal deputy sales director Roman Senatorov, in 2018 Severstal sales to construction companies totaled 4.2 million tons. This year they are expected to grow by 14%, and by 2023 – by 4%, to 5 million tons.
Construction accounts for 50% of global steel consumption and over 70% in Russia. (Ukrainian metal)
