According to Discovery Research Group, the aluminum section market in Russia in 2018 totaled 242,266.6 tons. In H1 it reached 123,936.4 tons. This year the company expects an increase of 1.5-3% YoY.
Manufacture accounts for 83% of the Russian aluminum section market. Hence, manufacturing dynamics has a more noticeable influence on the market than imports or exports.
In H1 the largest volume of aluminum sections was produced in Krasnoyarsk region – 17% of the total. It is followed by the Republic of Tatarstan (16.4%) and Moscow region (14.2%).
At present there are over 50 manufacturers of aluminum sections in Russia, with Tatprof being the largest with the share of 15.4%.
Imports in 2018 amounted to 41,156.5 tons, and exports – 17,705.7 tons. In H1 2019 imports reached 19.073.1 tons and exports – 10,049.2 tons. (Ukrainian metal)
