In August Russia imported 84 thousand tons of manganese ore and concentrate, down by 27.6% MoM, but up by 28% YoY.
Deliveries from South Africa decreased 2.5-fold, to 33.7 thousand tons. Imports from Kazakhstan and Gabon grew by 40% and by 68% MoM, to 19.3 and 30.1 thousand tons respectively.
In January-August imports totaled 720 thousand tons, down by 4.5% YoY.
In monetary terms since the start of the year imports have decreased by 19.4%.
Prices in August remained unchanged at $242 per ton. (Ukrainian metal)
