The Minister of Foreign Affairs Krisjanis Karins calls on strengthening sanction pressure on Russia and start working on the 14th sanctions packet, complementing the ban on the export and transit of raw materials used in the Russian military industry, in particular, manganese ore and aluminum oxide.

The parties, that form the government coalition, believe that the issue must be solved immediately on the EU level, the Prime Minister Evika Silina has said.

So far the manganese ore has not been named the dual-usage product, to which EU sanctions will be applied, thus Latvia is working on this issue. (Ukrainian metal)
