Russia’s exports of ferrous metals decreased by 4.2% MoM, to 3.192 million tons and by 5.2% to $1.536 billion in May, the Federal Customs Service said.
In January-May exports of ferrous metals contracted by 8.8% YoY, to 17.519 million tons and by 15.6%, to $8.145 billion.
Cast iron exports dropped by 15.5%, to 1.873 million tons, while semi-finished carbon steel goods’ exports decreased by 5.6%, to 6.417 million tons.
In monetary terms, cast iron exports fell by 17.7%, to $657.7 million and semi-finished carbon steel goods shrank by 18.6%. to $2.795 billion. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
