In January-October Russia exported 34.184 million tons of ferrous metals, down by 11% YoY.

According to the Federal Customs Service, exports without pig iron, ferroalloys, waste and scrap totaled 22.461 million tons, down by 11.2%.

Sales of carbon steel semi-finished products dropped by 8.3%, to 12.059 million tons.

Flat-rolled steel exports fell by 16%, to 5.773 million tons.

In October Russia exported 3.187 million tons of ferrous metals, up by 11.3% MoM (3.757 million tons in October 2018). Semi-finished products sales dropped by 6%, to 1.101 million tons, while flat steel – grew by 3.4%, to 0.559 million tons.

In 10 months the share of metals in the overall exports totaled 9.1% (down from 9.9% last year).

Far foreign countries accounted for 8.5% (9.4%), and CIS countries – 13.9% (12.9%). (Ukrainian metal)
