Electric energy expenses of industrial consumers have grown by 22%, and the full price has reached 1.93 UAH per kW-h.
According to Interpipe, on July 1-2 the average electricity price was 1.58 UAH per kW-h, roughly on par with the June level.
But now a tariff of Ukrenergo has to be added to this price, which is 34.74 kopeks per kW-h without VAT.
“The electricity tariff forming process has become uncontrollable. The price growth from July 1 has put the major industrial consumers on the verge of collapse. This has led to the increase in prime cost and our products becoming uncompetitive on outer markets, which will result in the output decrease, failure of the investment programs and inability to increase wages. Small and medium business will feel a similar effect, but the blow will be much harder”, Interpipe CFO Denis Morozov claims. (Ukrainian metal)
