In May Russia imported 30824 tons of stainless steel products, up by 1.3% MoM, but down by 21.6% YoY.
In particular, the import of flat rolled metal increased by 3.6% MoM, pipe fittings – by 14.9% and primary billets – by 172.3%.
At the same time the imports of electric welded pipes dropped by 21.6%, seamless pipes by 3.1% and wire – by 6.3%.
Russia imported stainless steel items with the weight of over 1 ton from 34 countries (35 in April). The main suppliers were China (33.6%), India (11.8%), Taiwan (9%), South Korea (8.8%) and Indonesia (6.9%). (Ukrainian metal)
