In January-April Russia imported 2.174 million tons of ferrous metals, down by 15.6% YoY.

In April imports grew by 4.83% MoM, to 0.66 million tons.

The import of ferrous metals excluding pig iron, ferroalloys, waste and scrap totaled 1.73 million tons in 4 months, down by 8.3%, with April imports up by 3.92% MoM, to 0.504 million tons.

The import of steel pipes increased byf 16.5% in January-April, to 0.208 million tons. In April 0.062 million tons of pipes were imported, up by 40% MoM.

The share of metals in the overall import structure was 7.2% in 4 months. The share of far foreign countries was 6% (5.8% in January-April 2018), and of CIS – 16.6% (18.7%). (Ukrainian metal)
