Krasniy Octyabr Iron and Steel Works has commissioned its steel-smelting furnace No. 5 with the volume of 200 tons.
The furnace in the electric arc shop No. 2 was shut down in May 2018 for repair, when the roof over it was disassembled in order to install dry gas-purification equipment.
This was the first repair of the furnace in 10 years.
Now both furnaces in the shop – Nos. 5 and 6 – alternate operation. (Ukrainian metal)
