Kyshtym Electrolytic Copper Plant has produced 1 million tons of copper wire rod since its new shop was commissioned in 2007.

Since mid-1990s the company has been producing copper wire rod using the Finnish oxygen-free technique of vertical casting.

The capacity of the site was some 10 thousand tons of wire rod per year.

With the construction of a new shop in 2007 the capacity grew 10-fold, to 100 thousand tons per year.

Thanks to modernization of the shop, which was completed in 2018, the capacity grew even more – to 140 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
