In 2018 Ukraine exported 2.27 million tons of metal valued at $1.32 billion to Russia, up by 15.9% and by 21.4% YoY respectively.

Bars and sections accounted for 52% of the exports, up by 20.8%, including construction rebars and rolled wire (53%, up 1.75-fold).

The exports of flat rolled metal increased by 1.8%, to 33.3%.

The share of semi-finished products grew almost 3-fold, to 9.8%.

At the same time the exports of steel pipes halved, to 3.6%.

Some third of the exports went to the Moscow region, another 20% – to the Rostov region and 12% – to the Belgorod region. (Ukrainian metal)
