According to Ukrmetallurgprom, in February Ukraine will produce 1.7 million tons of steel, 1.6 million tons of pig iron and 1.5 million tons of rolled metal.
As of January 16, 20 out of 21 blast furnaces, 8 of 9 open-hearth furnaces, 15 out of 16 converters, 6 out of 15 electric arc furnaces and all the 15 continuous casting machines were in operation.
According to new data, in 2018 Ukraine produced 21.1 million tons of steel, 20.56 million tons of pig iron and 18.361 million tons of rolled metal, all up by 1.5%, 2% and 0.2% YoY respectively. (Ukrainian metal)
