Since Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works resumed operation in December 2017, it has produced some 1.5 million tons of metal.

Before the war with Russia-supported terrorists, in 2013 the works increased rolled metal output to 3.8 million tons, steel – to 4.2 million tons and pig iron – to 3.8 million tons.

After the start of the military activity, in August 2014 the works halted operation, and resumed only in August 2015.

Following the railroad blockade in February 2017, Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works and Alchevsk By-Product Coke Plant were shut down.

On December 18, 2017 AMK resumed operation working with Russian raw materials. (Ukrainian metal)
