EU has prolonged the safeguard investigation as to metal imports irrespective of the country of origin and export until February 1, 2019.
In July the EU imposed preliminary measures on the import of metal for 200 days as quotes and 25% duties.
As of December 18 (153 days of the measures) Ukraine has used its tariff quota to supply metal to EU for 76.5%.
The quotas for the delivery of rebars, wire and sections are 94.01%, 97.12% and 95.12% used respectively. (Ukrainian metal)
