Russia’s gold production rose by around 3.4% YoY, to 243.06 tons in January-September, the Union of Gold Producers of Russia said on December 11 in a statement.

Mined gold production increased by 3.4%, to 194.857 tons, while by-product gold production fell by 12.8%, to 11.689 tons, gold scrap production went down by 3.8%, to 25.103 tons, and gold concentrate production increased by more than 50%, to 11.411 tons.

Silver production decreased by 1.6%, to 1,204.71 tons in the period.

The union confirmed its forecast for gold production to grow by 3.3%, to 328 tons in 2018 and for silver production to increase by 2%, to 1,600 tons. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
