In October Russia produced 4.3 million tons of pig iron, down by 0.7% YoY (4.17 million tons in September).
In 10 months pig iron output totaled 43.138 million tons, up by 0.4% YoY.
Ukraine, no longer a part of CIS, decreased pig iron output by 0.2% YoY, to 1.785 million tons in October (1.667 million tons), but increased by 4.1% YoY, to 17.091 million tons in 10 months.
Pig iron output in Kazakhstan was 260 thousand tons in October, down by 12.2% YoY (250 thousand tons), and 2.928 million tons in 10 months, down by 5.5%.
All in all CIS countries in October produced 6.345 million tons of pig iron, down by 1.1% YoY, (6.087 million tons in September). In January-October the output was 63.157 million tons, up by 1% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
