According to the Electrozinc CEO Igor Khodyko, the restoration of the electrolysis shop following the October 21 fire might take 6-8 months.
“The works has completely stopped operating. But now we are pondering the resumption of the shop work. First we have to estimate damages and compile a schedule of work”, he said.
He stressed that the fire was neither a technological, nor environmental disaster.
“This can happen at any plant, none is protected from the fire. But there were no nuclear or harmful emissions”, he added. (Ukrainian metal)
