In January-August Russia’s imports totaled $157.9 billion, up by 9.5% YoY.

According to the Federal Customs Service, metals and metal wares accounted for 7.3% (7% last year).

The import volumes of ferrous metals grew by 8.5%.

At the same time the imports of steel pipes dropped by 29.4%, while of iron and unalloyed flat steel – by 3.5%. (Ukrainian metal)
