In January-September Ukraine increased pig iron exports by 39.7%, to 2.27 million tons valued at $793.95 million, up by 57.8%.
According to the State Fiscal Service, pig iron was mostly exported to the USA (59.63%), Italy (13.12%) and Turkey (11.06%).
At the same time in 9 months Ukraine imported 1.1 thousand tons of pig iron valued at $638 thousand as opposed to 1.68 thousand tons valued at $859 thousand in January-September 2017.
The main suppliers were Russia (78.06%) and Germany (21.94%). (Ukrainian metal)
