In August Ukraine produced 247 thousand tons of rebars, down by 1% MoM.
In particular, ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih produced 179 thousand tons, down by 1%, Makeevka subsidiary of Yenakievo Iron and Steel Works – 62 thousand tons, up by 4%, and Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Combine – 6 thousand tons, down by 31%.
Exports grew by 7%, to 169 thousand tons, with AMKR exporting 107 thousand tons, up by 9%. Deliveries to the MENA market totaled 59 thousand tons, down by 26%, including to Iraq – 55 thousand tons, up by 6%. CIS received 19 thousand tons of AMKR rebars, up by 84%, and EU – 9.5 thousand tons, up 2-fold.
Makeevka subsidiary exported 62 thousand tons of rebars. All the exports went to Russia.
DMK did not export rebars in August.
Local deliveries fell by 14%, to 78 thousand tons. AMKR supplied 72 thousand tons, down by 12%, and DMK – 6 thousand tons, down by 31%.
Ukrainian traders in August increased rebars imports by 54%, to 30 thousand tons. Belarus and Turkey supplied the most – 16 thousand tons, up by 20%, and 13 thousand tons, up 2.5-fold, respectively.
There were also Moldavian rebars on the market – some 800 tons (380 tons in July).
