According to the statistics committee of the Ministry of National Economy, in August Kazakhstan produced 0.374 million tons of steel, down by 5.2%, but up from 0.367 million tons in July.
Steel output in January-August dropped by 0.5% YoY, to 3.061 million tons.
Flat rolled metal manufacture in 8 months grew by 7.1%, to 2.017 million tons, with 0.279 million tons produced in August (0.277 million tons in July), up by 6.8% YoY.
The manufacture of ferroalloys reached 1.359 million tons, up by 6.1%. In August Kazakhstan produced 0.167 million tons of ferroalloys, up by 13.1% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
