Russia: steel pipes exports up in January-July 2018

In January-July Russia exported 1.63 million tons of steel pipes valued at $1830 million, up by 47% and by 93.6% YoY respectively.

According to the customs statistics, Finland imported the most – 26%, up 10-fold YoY.

Turkey increased imports 12-fold, to 17.7%, while Kazakhstan decreased by 2.2%, to 13%. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: metal structures output down in January-August 2018

In January-August Russia produced 3.6 million tons of metal structures, down by 3.5% YoY.

According to the Federal Service of State Statistics, in August output dropped by 1.9% MoM and by 5.5% YoY.

Russia: gold output up in August 2018

Russian gold bar production rose by 0.4% YoY and by 9.5% MoM in August, the Federal State Statistics Service said on September 17.

In January-August gold bar production decreased by 0.4% YoY.

Russia: ferrous scrap exports to Belarus up in August 2018

In August Russia exported 129 thousand tons of ferrous scrap to Belarus.

According to the railroad statistics, this is up by 20.2% YoY.

In January-August scrap exports totaled 885.2 thousand tons, up by 17.8% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)

Ukraine: 660 million UAH to be spent to shut down state mines

Next year the government intends to provide 659.7 million UAH to shut down and maintain closed coalmines and coal-processing enterprises.

According to the budget draft, the funds will be spent to prepare 3 coalmining enterprises for liquidation.

There are also 16 projects to shut down enterprises and maintain 2 water-pumping complexes. (Ukrainian metal)
