Evraz NTMK has put into operation a new ball-rolling mill to produce balls with the diameter of 60 to 120 mm of the highest – the fifth – hardness group, previously only manufactured abroad.
The mill is situated in the rail and beam shop.
The total length of the manufacturing line is 300 meters.
There are also 12 bunkers to store balls with the volume of 150 tons each.
The new manufacture has created over 90 new jobs.
The capacity of the mill is some 135 thousand tons of balls per year.
Evraz investments totaled 1 billion rubles. (Ukrainian metal)
