Alexei Kushnarev, Evraz NTMK managing director, has signed a contract with Danieli on the reconstruction of the rail and beam shop.
The value of the contract is 80 million euros.
The modernization is expected to be completed in 2022.
The capacity of the mill will grow from 800 thousand tons to 950 thousand tons of rolled metal per year.
The shop will be able to produce U-sheet piles with the width of 600 mm, flanged beams with the height of 130 to 600 mm and width of 300 mm, as well as railroad rails according to European standards (25 meters long), crane rails, and asymmetric L-bulb plates with the height of 270 to 600 mm.
