In January-May Ukraine exported 6.247 million tons of metal, up by 4.2% YoY.
The share of semi-finished products was 42.2% (42.1% last year), while that of flat rolled metal was 34% (33.4%) and bars – 23.8% (24.5%).
83.2% of metal manufactured was exported (83.6% in January-May 2017).
The main exports markets were EU (34.8%), Africa (15.8%), other European countries including Turkey (13.1%) and the Near East (11.4%).
Domestic customers received 1841.8 thousand tons of rolled metal, with 545.8 thousand tons imported, or 29.6%.
The main suppliers were the CIS countries (59.6%), Asia (19.1%) and EU-28 (15.9%). (Ukrainian metal)
