President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon has given start to the construction of the large gold-processing factory Talco Gold, 50% of shares of which are owned by China.
The constriction will last for some 18 months.
The enterprise will produce 1.5 tons of gold and 16 tons of antimony per year from 2020.
With the commissioning of the factory Tajikistan could take the third place after China and Russia in antimony extraction and processing.
Antimony reserves are estimated at 265 thousand tons and gold – 50 tons. (Ukrainian metal)
