The director of the temporary administration of the Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant Vladimir Gordienko has reported that the works has resumed operation.
“We have even made the first smelting. By the end of the month we intend to have reached 1 thousand tons of output per month, and later to increase it to 1800 tons”, he said.
In November-December 2017 the furnaces operated in trial mode, but the works did not have enough electricity.
“Recently we have finished construction of an energy bridge and started operating the ferrosilicon furnace. We plan to commission all the four furnaces this year”, he added. (Ukrainian metal)
