Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Combine, a part of the Industrial Union of Donbass, and the authorities of the city of Kamenskoye have signed a memorandum of cooperation to improve environment.

The document has been signed by the city mayor Andrey Belousov and the company CEO Alexander Podkorytov.

DMK is actively participating in the infrastructure development. Last year it transferred 409.5 million UAH to the city budget, and in Q1 2018 – 98.7 million UAH. In April the company supported the decentralization of heating of the right bank part of the city by providing 40 million UAH for the autonomous heating.

This year DMK plans to replace two of its water-tube boilers and modernize gas-purifying systems (233.8 million UAH). This will considerably decrease air pollution.

Next year the company will start modernizing the gas-purifying equipment of the rotary kilns in the lime shop. This will cost 85.4 million UAH. Pollution is expected to decrease by 800 tons. (Ukrainian metal)
