The combined sales of titanium rolled products and bars by VSMPO-Avisma rose by 14% YoY, to 28,779 tons in 2017, the company said in a statement on May 23.
Exports grew by 26%, to 20,588 tons, while domestic sales fell by 8%, to 8,192 tons.
The U.S. and Europe accounted for most exports with 44% and 47% shares, respectively.
The company attributed the rise in sales to growing demand from the aviation industry, as well as foreign customers’ policy to mitigate political risks with larger reserves. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
