In March Russia produced 4.3 million tons of pig iron, down by 5.5% YoY (3.885 million tons in February).
In January-March pig iron output dropped by 3.4% YoY, to 12.485 million tons.
Ukraine increased pig iron production by 7.6% YoY, to 1.678 million tons (1.632 million tons), with 5.247 million tons produced in 3 months, up by 8.3%.
Kazakhstan in March manufactured 330 thousand tons of pig iron, up by 3.4% YoY (295 thousand tons), with 950 thousand tons produced in January-March, down by 22.3%.
Altogether CIS countries in March produced 6.308 million tons of pig iron, down by 1.9% YoY (5.812 million tons in February). In Q1 pig iron output dropped by 1.6% YoY, to 18.682 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
