The most productive blast furnace in Russia – the NLMK Rossiyanka – has smelted its 25-millionth ton of pig iron.

The blast furnace was commissioned in 2011. Investments exceeded 43 billion rubles. This was one of the largest construction projects in Russian metallurgy. NLMK capacity increased by 36%.

In 2017 Rossiyanka produced 3.8 million tons of pig iron, or 30% of all NLMK output.

The high output of the furnace – some 11.3 thousand tons per day – allowed NLMK to produce a record of 12.8 million tons of pig iron. (Ukrainian metal)
