Interpipe and Vallourec intend to create a joint venture to produce steel pipes for the European market.

The cooperation will not cover pipes for oil and gas extraction. The JV will only produce linear pipes, general usage pipes as well as machine-building products.

“Pipes will be finished at the line built at Interpipe Niko Tube and managed by Vallourec”, the company said.

The start of the manufacture is scheduled for autumn.

On the European market the pipes will be sold under the Vallourec brand. (Ukrainian metal)
