In March scrap procurers obtained 284 thousand tons of scrap, up by 2% MoM.
According to Ukrmetallurgprom, of this Ukrainian metal companies received 230 thousand tons, up by 2% MoM, and 54 thousand tons were exported, up by 2%.
The scrap need was only 82% covered as opposed to 93% in February.
In Q1 scrap procurement increased by 10% YoY, to 840 thousand tons.
Metal companies received 700 thousand tons of scrap, down by 3% YoY. Exports grew 3.5-fold, to 140 thousand tons.
Scrap needs were covered by 92%. (Ukrainian metal)
