In March metal companies received 860 thousand tons of coke, up by 11% MoM.
According to Ukrmetallurgprom, Ukrainian coke accounted for 785 thousand tons, up by 12% MoM, while imports – 75 thousand tons, flat MoM.
In Q1 metal companies received 2.55 million tons of coke, up by 8% YoY, including 2.31 million tons of local coke, up by 7%. Imports of coke grew by 15%, to 235 thousand tons. Its share in deliveries in Q1 totaled 9.3%.
In March Ukrainian by-product coke plants received 1.35 million tons of coking coal, up by 25% MoM, including 250 thousand tons of domestic coal, up by 11%.
Imports of coal in March grew by 28% MoM, to 1.1 million tons.
In Q1 Ukrainian by-product coke plants received 3.62 million tons of coal, down by 4% YoY. Deliveries of Ukrainian coal totaled 780 thousand tons, down by 24% YoY.
Imports of coal totaled 2.84 million tons, up by 3%. The share of the imported coal in Q1 was 78.5% as opposed to 73% in Q1 2017. (Ukrainian metal)
