In February Russia produced 3.885 million tons of blast furnace pig iron, down by 2.1% YoY (4.3 million tons in January). In 2 months Russia produced 8.185 million tons of pig iron, down by 2.2% YoY.
Ukraine February pig iron output increased by 3.8% YoY, to 1.625 million tons (1.8 million tons), but dropped by 1.6% YoY, to 3.425 million tons in 2 months.
Kazakhstan produced 295 thousand tons of pig iron in February, up by 11.3% YoY (325 thousand tons) as well as 620 thousand tons in January-February, down by 31.3%.
All in all the CIS countries in February produced 5.805 million tons of pig iron, up by 0.1% YoY (6.425 million tons in January) and 12.23 million tons in 2 months, down by 4.1% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
