In January-February Ukraine consumed 527 thousand tons of metal, of which 193 thousand tons, or 36.6% were imported.
In January-February 2017 local market consumed 788.1 thousand tons, of which 136.1 thousand tons, or 17.3% were imported.
Thus, while the consumption fell by 33%, imports grew by 42%.
The share of the flat rolled metal in imports has almost equaled that of long rolled metal – 48.5% and 49.3% respectively. The main suppliers were the EU, CIS and APR. (Ukrainian metal)
